What is this pain in my lower left side of my back under my ribcage?

I have been having pain in my lower back on the left side, under my ribcage for a couple days now. It feels like a tight muscle, but it keeps getting tighter. Is is just a muscle, or could it be something else?

ohhh buddy… it could just be a tight muscle… but for me that was a sign of kidney stones. Ur doctor can arrange a simple ultrasound just like they do with pregnancies but use it to see if you have any… if you do they can use another ELF (extremely low frequency) to break up the kidney stones to where you can easily pass them without pain. The problem with knowing yourself is that they sometimes get stuck because they are shaped kinda like snowflakes most of the time and sometimes its not abstructive and sometimes it moves get stuck somewhere else and is abstructive creating the pain in your kidney. If you drink alot of dark soda that is a very common cause of kidney stones although just about too much of any kind of food can potentially cause them if you dont drink enough water on a regular basis. I had back pain on and off for 6 months to a year before they actually got REALLY bad and i needed to go to the hospital for the pain… i wrote them off as being just a spasmd muscle since i swim and play hockey… but boy did i wish i had just got checked before… its seriously the worste pain i’ve ever experienced and the doctor said that it can be more painful than childbirth… i dont doubt he is right.. definitely not fun… however on the bright side… the best thing if you get them is to drink beer… helps alleviate your muscles (cuz the pain comes from the dull pain causing your muscles to contract around the stone causing it to cut deeper and contract even tighter over time which is why the pain builds… even at their worste the pain dissapears from time to time for minutes to hours just depending on how smoothly its travelling in your system. But yeah.. get that checked out.. best of luck to you
