Colon Cleanse???

My mom talked me into doing this Colon Cleanse with her. You just take a pill packed with Herbs & Fibers….& it does it’s job. Well, I’ve been taking it for 3 days. Today I got cramps & tonight I noticed blood in my stool. & I’m not talking about strings of blood…..a lot of blood. For those of you that HAVE done a cleanse……
Have you experienced anything like this?
Is it normal to experience this during a cleanse?
We are mostly adults here right?!?! So, I would appreciate only mature answers!
I don’t have a recommending Dr. We just kind of did this on our own. & I haven’t done any other cleanses previous to this one.
ok first off the person that said the body does its job…heh you havent had to deal with the Compacted Colon I just finished dealin with for 3 yrs after I started taking cleansers…try not passing anything for almost a month at a time..
back to the question. i agree that is very possible that you disturbed an intestinal parasite. or the cleanser you are taking is to rough for your intestine..you sould go to your doctor or an alternative medicine doc, and tell them your situation. The cramping is something i have dealt with a lot when taking cleansers, decrease the amount you are taking and they should go away.
I have done colon cleanses for years but never had any blood.
I would contact either your MD or the Homeopathic MD recommending the colon cleanse.
Could — Could Maybe the results of disturbing a tape worm.
Have you ever done a parasite cleanse that includes pumpkin seed for the tape worms.
Did you take too much? Have you been drinking enough water .I have taken psyllium fiber to cleanse things out and have had some light cramping but never more than that. Perhaps you ought to talk to a doctor. Take care.
Of course no real doctor, with knowledge of anatomy and physiology, would recommend a cleanse. There’s no need for it, your body does it by itself. If anything does get caught in your colon, it blocks everything, and without help you would die within a week or two.
Were you straining when using the toilet? If so, it could be hemorrhoids What color is the blood? Bright red ( hemorrhoids), or dark and rusty (ulcer)?
stop taking it. if your mom dosnt know tell her. your hurting yourself and should go to a doctor before you continue. people have bleed to death from their a**
it would be safe at this time to see a gastrionenterologist. I will say this to you. (death starts in the colon). excessive blood loss could mean,colon cancer. or hemmorhoids. it can also signify low blood. I know mom meant well, so don’t be to hard on her. she probably feels bad enough as it is. I don’t know how long before you sent your thread,you’ve been experiencing these symptoms, but time at this time is not on your side. make an appointment ASAP. excessive blood loss could cause fainting spells,dizzyness,extreme tiredness,etc;
