Anti-aging products…do they work?

Or am I wasting my time and money? My biggest concern is age spots. I did not take proper precautions against the sun and am paying for it now.
Have you tried any products that work? If so, which brand and how long did it take before you noticed a change? I know I need to be patient, but I don't want to use it too long if it doesn't help.
Thanks in advance for your input ![]()
Meme, glad to hear your Mom is doing well. I also battled cancer (ovarian).
Anna, I am using Estee Lauder on one spot and Avon on the other. I actually have noticed a difference…guess I'll keep trying!

It's proven anti-aging creams will work to combat the look of age spots, wrinkles, uneven skin tones over all, firmer appearing texture, etc., the only argument is which works best.
Many articles I've read say that the higher end products are no more effective than drug store brands (like Olay, which many say is great). All the same basic ingredients, just less spent on the marketing and packaging =o)
Also, if the spots are worse than 'mild', a dermatologist can set you up with a good program, either a single product, or possible a few. It's a good idea to go see one if you can/want to. I know a few who have used Differin gel/lotion to even out their skin tones (it's also used for acne, but not solely) and they said it worked well. My dermatologist ended up putting me on it because of acne at one point, and it really does make your skin flawless over all. Eventually I didn't need it, so stopped using it, but could see me picking it back up later if I weren't happy with my skin.
Sorry, I don't use anything special for aging, I just use basic products since my skin is super sensitive, so i can't recommend anything specific, but I'd try Olay and see how that goes.
For most skin care, you really need to give it like 4-6wks — I know, a small eternity, but it takes a while to really see results for anything you'd do at home.
Hope this helps =o)
Anti-Aging products don't really work. If you have a healthy lifestyle, and make good choices, then you'll get the desired results. If you're eating healthy, and working out a lot, then it will work. My mom is in her 50's, she's had deadly (practically terminal) cancer, and she's been told many times that she looks like a 20 something year old woman.
You may want to consider the ingredients in what you're using on your skin, that may contribute to your age spots
Nutritional lotions and cremes on your skin will help improve your skin's appearance
